Floor replacement
Full floor replacement: old carpet and vinyl removed, subfloor patched and leveled, new flooring laid with new baseboard.
Luxury vinyl plank, laminate, tile and hardwood — installed over a subfloor we actually check and fix first.
Every flooring failure we get called about starts in the same place: the subfloor. A floor that clicks, bounces, or shows a ridge along a seam was almost always laid over a hump or a soft spot that nobody measured. We check flatness with a straightedge and a laser before the first box is opened, and we fix what we find — grinding high spots, filling low ones, replacing water-damaged plywood — instead of covering it up.
Luxury vinyl plank is the most common choice in this area now, and for good reason: it handles moisture, pets and kids, and it is comfortable underfoot in a way tile is not. Laminate is still a good budget option for dry rooms. Engineered hardwood and solid hardwood are what we install when the house deserves it. We also do tile in bathrooms, entries and kitchens, with the waterproofing done properly underneath.
We remove and dispose of the old floor, move what needs moving, and handle transitions and stair nosing so the details look intentional. Baseboards go back on clean, and we leave you the leftover material for future repairs.
Click and glue-down systems, with underlayment matched to the product and the slab.
Engineered and solid hardwood, nailed or glued, with acclimation done properly.
Bathroom, entry and kitchen tile with cement board or membrane and correct slope.
Grinding, patching, leveling and replacing damaged plywood — the step that decides how the floor performs.
Stair nosing, reducers, T-molding and thresholds that line up and stay put.
Old carpet, vinyl or tile torn out and hauled away, with dust kept under control.
These are ballpark ranges for the Everett area, not a quote. Every project gets a written, itemized estimate after a free walkthrough — the number you see there is the number you pay unless the scope changes.

We move furniture and appliances as part of the job — everything except very large items like a piano or a loaded gun safe, which we ask you to arrange. We put things back at the end of the day where possible.
Sometimes, if the tile is sound, flat and fully bonded, and the manufacturer allows it. Floating a floor over failing tile is a mistake. We test for hollow spots and tell you which way is safe.
LVP and laminate are walkable immediately. Tile needs 24 hours before foot traffic and longer before heavy furniture. Glue-down hardwood needs about 24 hours.
Yes, with a moisture test first. Slabs in older Everett homes can wick moisture, and the wrong underlayment will trap it and ruin the floor.
Plan on 10 percent waste for a simple rectangular room and 15 percent for rooms with lots of angles, closets or a diagonal layout. Keep the leftovers.
