Fence replacement
Fence replacement along an overgrown property line. Old posts pulled, new posts set below the frost line, cedar boards and a rebuilt gate.
Privacy fences, replacements and repairs built straight and square — with posts set deep enough to survive our wind and rain.
A fence is mostly invisible work. The part you see is the boards; the part that decides whether it is still standing in ten years is the post depth, the concrete, the gravel at the bottom of the hole, and whether the rails were fastened with galvanized screws or whatever was in the truck. We have taken apart enough leaning fences around Everett to know exactly which shortcut killed them.
We build cedar privacy fences, horizontal slat fences, and repair or replace existing lines. Posts go below the frost line with drainage gravel and concrete, rails are screwed rather than nailed, and boards are spaced to let the wind through instead of pushing the whole line over in a storm. Gates get a proper frame and a hinge that does not sag in a year.
If you are on a corner lot, in an HOA, or near a wetland, there are rules about height, setback and materials. We will tell you what applies before you buy anything, and we can prepare the fence plan for a permit if your city asks for one.
6-foot and 8-foot privacy lines, dog-ear or flat-top, with tight or shadowbox board patterns.
Tear-out and haul-away, new posts and rails, straight lines even when the old one wandered.
Walk gates and double gates with a braced frame, adjustable hinges and a latch that lines up in winter.
Post replacement, rail repair and re-setting leaning sections without rebuilding the whole line.
String lines and a laser level. No wavy fence lines following the old one.

Posts should sit at least 24 to 36 inches deep, below the frost line, with gravel at the bottom and concrete around them. Shallow posts are the number one reason fences lean here after a few winters.
Most residential fences in Everett do not need a permit, but height limits apply — typically 6 feet in back yards and 4 feet in front. Corner lots and properties near critical areas have extra rules. We check before building.
Cedar looks better, ages gracefully and resists rot naturally; pressure-treated pine costs less and lasts well but needs staining and can warp. For visible privacy lines most homeowners choose cedar.
Yes, if the posts are sound. We replace individual posts, rails or sections, re-set leaning lines, and match the existing board style where possible.
Two to three working days for a straightforward line, weather permitting. Rocky ground or a lot of roots can add a day.
