Stair rebuild
Stair rebuild with new treads, risers and a tightened railing. The old stringers had settled; we corrected the rise before finishing.
Trim, doors, framing and built-ins — with the scribing and patience that older Everett homes demand.
Older houses around here are rarely square, plumb or level, and that is normal. A carpenter who pretends otherwise leaves you with gaps at the ceiling and doors that stick in July. The right approach is to measure the actual opening, cut to it, and scribe the trim to the wall — which takes longer and looks like it was always there.
We do finish carpentry (baseboard, casing, crown, doors, window trim, built-ins and shelving), rough carpentry (framing, blocking, subfloor repair, structural repairs) and the odd jobs in between. If you have a pile of trim and a door that will not close, that is a normal day for us.
We also handle the carpentry side of remodels: opening a wall with a proper header, framing a niche, building a bench or a window seat, and installing the trim package at the end so the room reads as finished rather than assembled.
Baseboard, casing, crown and shoe, scribed to the wall instead of caulked into submission.
Interior and exterior door hanging, adjustment and hardware.
Shelving, benches, window seats, closet systems and media walls.
Walls, headers, blocking and structural repairs with proper sizing.
Repair and replacement before flooring or siding goes on.
The collection of small jobs that never quite gets done.
These are ballpark ranges for the Everett area, not a quote. Every project gets a written, itemized estimate after a free walkthrough — the number you see there is the number you pay unless the scope changes.

Yes. A single door or a day of punch-list work is a normal booking. There is a two-hour minimum.
Usually. We can profile-match simple profiles or source a close stock match, then paint or stain to blend.
Yes, with permits and engineering where required. We will not open a load-bearing wall without a proper header and inspection.
We scribe the trim — cut the back edge to follow the wall — rather than filling a gap with caulk. It takes longer and it is the difference between good and acceptable.
